The main purpose of our ministry to the bereaved is to promote healing through information and education, prayerful support and encouragement.
Meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month from 7:30 – 9:30 PM in the Church Hall. Enter from 215th Place . Please call Sister Kathleen at 718 224-5695 for more information and to register.

If participation in a support group is not something you are comfortable with, or if you are looking for more assistance in addition to the monthly group, a safety net of grief support is available. It is a wonderful gift provided by the Old Bridge & Waitt funeral home in New Jersey. This on-line support is available on their website www.oldbridgefh.com/grief. It is entitled 365 DAYS OF GRIEF AFFIRMATIONS.

As the pandemic touches more of us in the most profound way – the loss of a loved one – grief and bereavement also take on a different form in this Coronavirus time. Whether the person has passed away from COVID-19, another illness or natural causes, there is no gathering of relatives and friends to provide solace and comfort. We are, instead, left alone to think about and mourn for our loss.
